Ganderbal, Apr 07 (KNO): District NCD Division Ganderbal, under the leadership of Chief Medical Officer Dr. B. A. Khan, in collaboration with the Central University of Kashmir (CUK), organized a grand celebration of World Health Day 2025 at the Tulmulla Campus of CUK.
The event witnessed active participation from over 5000 students from across India, currently pursuing their studies at CUK. The awareness programme was marked by health screenings, health education sessions, and interactive activities, focusing on the theme of this year's World Health Day.
As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Dr. B. A. Khan was accompanied by Block Medical Officer Ganderbal, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, and District Programme Coordinator, Mohammad Yaseen Mir, along with their dedicated teams from various wings of the District Hospital (DH) Ganderbal and Block Ganderbal.
These included professionals from the NCD Clinic, Dental Health Clinic, and the Medical Team of Block Ganderbal, who collectively worked to ensure the success of the initiative.
The event included Health Screening Camps focusing on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), dental health, and general wellness.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B. A. Khan emphasized the importance of inter-sectoral collaboration for promoting health and well-being and appreciated the support of Central University of Kashmir for hosting this mega event.
The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm of the students made the event a grand success and a model for future collaborative health outreach activities in the district—(KNO)
